We're fortunate to have a great staff and leadership team. They're super passionate about leading in their area of ministry, but they also love to bring volunteers on board! Let's introduce them.
"Hey, everyone, I'm Brent - and I have been pastor here at WCC since 2010 - but I honestly believe these days are some of the best since I have been here. We're seeing our church grow younger and the enthusiasm ramp up, while at the same time being aided by the wisdom of those older. We truly are an intergenerational church.
"My wife Kelly and I have been married for 28 years and love doing life together - especially if there is some way for us to get outdoors. We do a lot of biking (summertime) and hiking (year round). We have three kids that we're tight with. Allie and her husband live in Los Angeles, Lindsay lives in the Chicago area, and Luke has a year to go at Cornerstone University. I am a huge family guy!"
families and discipleship
Mark has been at Waterford since February 2017, working hard to develop volunteer groups as well as family ministry and discipleship. He also oversees our operations. Mark has been a youth pastor, campus pastor and church planter in the past, and brings a great style of leadership to the team. He and his wife Sue have been married for 35 years and have three grown children who are married living in Georga, Ohio, and West Michigan. They enjoy hiking, heading the beach on Lake Michigan, attending community events and especially visiting their four grand kids!
worship and youth
Chris has been with us since April 2017 and brings passion and modern relevance to worship. He and his wife Miranda are in graduate school. If they have free time, they enjoy traveling, connecting with others, and going to concerts. And even more importantly, baby #1 is on its way!
Jennifer has been a long time attender of Waterford Community Church. She has been involved in a variety of ministries. She joined the team in 2019 to give leadership to our Faith Mountain program helping us connect to parents all week long. She and her husband Mark have a daughter who is also in the Children’s Ministry.
